Oh dear, I’m growing up

So, excitement of all excitements, I’ve started looking for a proper grown up place to live. A couple of people have asked me what I’m looking at, and the URLs you get on Rightmove are hideous (and the ‘Share This’ button doesn’t appear to work). So on that basis, I’ll do a quick post.

I’ve looked at:

West View Court

Claremont Road

Hillside Avenue

Pelham Road (1)

Pelham Road (2)

…and West Dean Rise.

I’m not saying on here what I thought of them just in case so if you want the gory details you’ll have to actually get in touch and ask, but I’ll keep you posted of any major developments. In the mean time, have a look and let me know what you think (all advice is gratefully received).

Why did you not do the hat trick and do Pelham 123?!

  • I think these all look really promising!

Purpose built blocks of flats are very sturdy and excellent on the old sound proofing. Converted houses are just that and may not be as good at muffling unwanted sounds.

A flat or a whole house? Ooh, choices!

If am being honest – when I first saw the photo…West Dean Rise appealed least to me but it is a whole house!!!!

    Choices, choices, choices!

  • Best boss ever?! How modest of you. Actually the one before you was particularly special, we saw eye to eye on everything and as I recall that particular person’s communication skills were exquisite. The one after you might have something to say about that as well… (And the current one can actually do paperwork, which I must say is a revelation).

I don’t like the idea of unmuffled and unwanted sounds so am leaning very much towards purpose built at the moment. Loving your feedback!

Louise – Pelham Road is a nightmare to park on being right opposite Morrisons. I’m essentially lazy. That’s not a good combination so I feel seeing three in that road would have been overkill.
